Sharp Shinned Bronze 1 Sharp-Shinned Hawk
(Accipiter Striatus)
carved with meticulous detailing and a bit of sharpie attitude. The penetrating gaze, taut talons, and slightly lifted wing suggest a bird of prey poised for sudden strike. Feather tracts from neck ruff to flight feathers are carved in delicate detail. The hawk's talons grip a bas-relief ball of maple leaves. Hawk stands 11 1/4" high from base of leaf ball, and 12 1/4" from beak to tail.

We burnish the bronze bird to bring out the highlights, and darkening patinas show off the striking feather pattern.

Woodcock patinatedPatinated Woodcock
(Scolopax Minor)
sculpted with fine feather detailing and a pert, bright-eyed manner. This bird's head is cocked slightly, as if listening to sounds in the leaf litter below, his long beak at the ready. The Woodcock is shown with typical cinnamon pattern coloration for camouflage from danger overhead, and the lighter mottled pattern on the breast to match his habitat.
The realistic details of the Woodcock's feathers are captured in a special mold-making material for high detail casting, and carefully chased of imperfections from the casting process before we patinate to bring the bird to life in true coloration.
This full-scale bird stands 6" tall and is 7" from beak to tail, on a 2" high darkened bronze marquise base.

PedestalSculpture Pedestal
Simple and sleek, this triangular sculpture stand has a small but sturdy footprint. The crisp form references the Cubist furniture movement of the early 1900's, with a shape that shifts as one moves around the piece. (Compare the two full images here.) Furniture-grade MDF is cabinetry-quality built and is paint ready to match any decor. 28" tall with 12" x 12" x 12" surface.

This Cubist-inspired piece becomes a dramatic sculpture on its own with a proprietary metallizing process that can be polished or patinated. Available in bronze or nickel-silver. Creates the look of a bronze or nickel-silver cast base. Specify satin finish for sparkle, or a darkened patina for an aged, understated look.
